We work hard to provide healthy, nutritious lunches for kids – and parents feel better when their kids are eating healthier. But it’s not always easy to get kids to eat their daily recommended servings of fruits, vegetables, and other foods.
That’s where Green Monkey School Lunches can really help.
We take advantage of seasonal fruits and vegetables to provide more of what kids need in every meal. Our pasta marinara is not only delicious, but it’s packed with some “hidden vegetables” that contribute to healthier students. Finely chopped carrots are just one of the vegetables we simmer in our marinara. It adds a bit of flavor and freshness to the sauce and kids love it. We include more of what’s good for them in every bite.
We also include a fruit cup with every lunch option so kids get fresh fruit every day. Our fruit is never canned or frozen. We cut it fresh every day in our Green Monkey kitchen. It doesn’t get any fresher! And we take advantage of seasonal fruits so kids learn to eat a variety of fruits throughout the y
Eating Healthier at Home
During the summer months when lots of kids eat at home, you can give them ore of what’s good for them too.
In addition to a natural, healthy turkey and cheese sandwich, include a side of fresh crisp vegetables and Ranch dip. Or, cook up a batch of your own marinara with finely minced carrots, peppers and other vegetables and serve it over a whole-grain pasta topped with freshly grated cheese just like Green Monkey!
